      Hi Elena, A lot of this music is learned by ear, then transcribed after learning it by ear, so in traditional music it's very common to see slightly different versions of the same song. @@HarpMuse I give you a thumb up and you got one sucriber... I learnt celtic harp alone (with video) I catch a second hand Camac korrigan there couple weeks. Different instrument, less physical than my bagpipe but not easy at all! I'm looking for tutorial like this... And I hope one day play some specific music piece like the Albinoni Adagio or the Moonlight sonata. Do you think it's possible for the Adagio? What tonality you need with the lever (I don't know how to read a sheet music)?

    • @HarpMuse
      @HarpMuse 4 года назад

      @@Leduenn Thank you for the thumbs up, and subscribing! If you want to eventually play the Albinoni Adagio or Moonlight sonata, you will probably have to get a pedal harp. The lever harps are great and what I specialize in, but for music that is very chromatic (meaning notes appear in the piece that aren't in the key signature), it's very challenging, and sometimes impossible, on the lever harp because the lever harp is not chromatic, where the pedal harp is. But everything you learn on the lever harp can be applied to pedal harp. The key is to find a teacher that will teach you good technique. I do teach via Skype or FaceTime, but if you can find a teacher local to you, that would be best. Good luck on your harp journey!!
